Our Story
Globalbrand Inc. launched in the fall of 2012 along with an efficient system, under the realization that many Japanese products are not available for sale online. The company’s beginnings go back to 2011, when founder Yamada was engaged in selling Japanese food in the United States and noticed that while online sales had become mainstream, most Japanese products were not available online. Yamada coordinated with an American network and with many Japanese manufacturers to register and sell Japanese products, particularly through Amazon.com. Immediately after launching the business, the company evolved into a key player in the world of e-commerce as a retailer focused on Japanese foods and daily necessities. It became the fastest Japanese player to reach 100 million yen in sales via Payoneer on Amazon.com. From there, the company has expanded primarily into IT, logistics, and marketing. It currently handles products from over 100 manufacturers, and develops its own products as well. As a leader in this new era of commerce, Globalbrand Inc. continues to innovate and to bring innovative products to the global community.
